GermanFest
The city has its own take on the famous Oktoberfest celebration and it’s one we’re sure you will not want to miss. Every year, The Athenaeum hosts GermanFest, a day packed with wiener-dog races, a 5k walk/run, a strongman competition, live music, games, and, of course, plenty of beer! Break out your Lederhosen and embrace in some German-inspired fun. 

Spooky Stories at Crown Hill Cemetery
Storytelling Arts of Indiana invites you to indulge in some spooky fun as you gather around to listen to scary stories in the cemetery. Bring your friends and family for a haunted picnic as you listen in on the ghosts and ghouls. A separate-ticket RIP Reception is also available and features a buffet, pumpkin auction, and more. 

The Day of The Dead
Embrace the popular Mexican holiday, El Dia de Los Muertos, or, The Day of The Dead, at the Eiteljorg Museum event in Indianapolis. Learn about Latin culture through music, dance, and parades. Attendance is free and is sure to be fun for the whole family. 

Indiana Renaissance Fair
Just a 30-minute drive from Indianapolis, Noblesville hosts the annual Indiana Renaissance Fair. Take a step back in time with a celebration filled with music, food, and plenty of entertainment. Catch presentations featuring knighting ceremonies, jousting, acrobats and jugglers, and marvel at all of the outstanding costumes.
